2011 - Annual General Meeting
This year our AGM was held on 31 AUG 2011 at the Northern Frontier Visitors Centre. As in past years we had a family BBQ and then our meeting. Everyone had some great food and the meeting afterwards was well attended.
Boris Atamanenko brought greetings from the Minister of Education, Culture & Employment. He also told us about a NWT Heritage Association meeting taking place on 15/17 OCT 11. Walt gave a report on the progress the society made during the year. There was a brief discussion about the two trust accounts we have with the Yellowknife Community Foundation. The audited financial statement were presented and accepted. Mike Byrne and Yvonne Quick were retiring from our board after many years of service. Norah Higden and Dave Richie were nominated to take their place on the board. There was then an election of board members for the upcoming new year. Then it was time for some fun and visiting.
