2010 - Receiving the Land Lease
The NWT Mining Heritage Society is very pleased to announce we have signed a land lease agreement with the City of Yellowknife for the property our Mining Heritage Building is on. Walt Humphries is shown above receiving the lease from Yellowknife Mayor Gordon Van Tighem in October 2010. The Society would like to thank the Department of Transportation, Municipal and Community Affairs of the Government of the NWT and employees at City Hall for all their help in negotiating this lease.
